Just keep swimming....

Wow! Already I am noticing a huge improvement in our breathing and fitness levels as we work with the instructors and we still have one more week of swimming to go!

Keep remembering to bring your togs as we are swimming on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of next week :)

TERM 4...READY TO ROLL!

Looking forward to seeing the Fab Room 2 crew on Monday.  We have an exciting, challenging and packed learning programme for you.  You will notice some differences this term.  Apart from new bell times we have an exciting new F.L.E (Flexible Learning Environment) to introduce for literacy. The senior team are looking forward to sharing this with you :)

Don't forget to pack your brain food for this term!!!  Here are some ideas:

* fruit for our shared fruit bowl
* raw carrots/celery sticks
* sultanas or other dried fruit
* assorted nuts
* crackers & cheese
* wholegrain cereal bars
* popcorn

Remember this is not morning tea/lunch but just some snacks to keep you going until we get there :)
Having your brain food ready for you to access at your desk in the morning is what we are aiming for.  It should NOT be food that needs heating up or unhealthy snacks.

There are some exciting options for L.E.E.P this term and you will be able to rate your choices for these on Monday. Don't forget Thursday and Friday are Craft and Pet Day - what an awesome way to begin the term!

Kapa Haka

The performance Kapa Haka group is working hard to get ready for the Pae Tamariki concert in October.  How lucky are we to have Papa Doug Wallace as our kaiako to lead us on our journey!  He is 100% committed to our students having authentic opportunities to showcase their talent.

Welcome back to Term 3

We have had a busy and productive week in Room 2! There is a lot of interest in our new inquiry topic 'Maunga ki te Moana' (Mountain to the Sea) and we have lots to look forward to with whole school science rotations starting in Week 3.  We have also been busy with gymnastics, Ki Tai, Kapa Haka and assessment.

For our writing sample we have been learning fun facts about sheep so we can construct our information reports...ask us what else we have learnt and come in and check out our new room layout :)
