Kapa Haka

The performance Kapa Haka group is working hard to get ready for the Pae Tamariki concert in October.  How lucky are we to have Papa Doug Wallace as our kaiako to lead us on our journey!  He is 100% committed to our students having authentic opportunities to showcase their talent.

Welcome back to Term 3

We have had a busy and productive week in Room 2! There is a lot of interest in our new inquiry topic 'Maunga ki te Moana' (Mountain to the Sea) and we have lots to look forward to with whole school science rotations starting in Week 3.  We have also been busy with gymnastics, Ki Tai, Kapa Haka and assessment.

For our writing sample we have been learning fun facts about sheep so we can construct our information reports...ask us what else we have learnt and come in and check out our new room layout :)

Maths in Rm 2

We are looking at Algebra in Room 2 and are having heaps of fun finding patterns and describing them.  Check us out!!! 

YMCA

We have been loving our Rugby skills sessions with the fantastic YMCA crew!  The weather has been awesome and next week we move onto Basketball - wahoo !!

Term 2 !!!

Wow it is time for an update from our room!  Our class is aiming for a minimum of two updates per week so please keep visiting our class blog and we would love you to post some comments :)
We have such a busy term with lots of great learning ahead!  Our L.E.E.P programme continues once a week allowing us to offer a focused time where students can explore areas of the curriculum more deeply, YMCA (Rugby skills) happens every Tuesday, Performance Kapa Haka group is on Fridays and we have our usual busy programme with focused group literacy and numeracy lessons.  Check us out as we focus on our writing topic of information reports and prepare to write our own!
